This one is simple. Again, the word Muslim is an Arabic word. We see that it stems from the same word that Islaam stems from: aslama (to submit). Muslim is the Ism Faa’il in the Arabic language, which refers to the one who is doing the action stated by the verb. A Muslim is the one who is doing the submitting or surrendering of his/her own self. So, religiously, a Muslim is one who surrenders his own self to the will of his creator, to the will of Almighty God. So Who Are the Muslims? Muslims come from all reaces, nationalities, and cultures across the globe. They have varied customs languages, foods, and dress; even the way the practice Islam may differ. To the surprise of some, less than 15% of Muslims actually live in the Arab world! This translates to the fact that Arabs represent a minority within Islam. A fifth of the worldwide Muslim population are found in the Sub-Saharan Africa, and the world's largest Muslim community is in Indonesia. Substantial parts of Asia, and almost all of the Central Asian republics, are Muslim. And significant Muslim minorities are found in China, India, Russia, Europe, Canda, South America, and the Unites States of America. These Muslims come from all walks of live, but they are tied together with one common bond: the bond of faith in Islamic monotheism.

God said to Moses: (Quraan, 20:14) |
"O young man, I shall teach you some words [of advice] : Be mindful of Allah, and Allah will protect you. Be mindful of Allah, and you will find Him in front of you. If you (have need to) ask, ask of Allah; and if you seek help, seek help from Allah. Know that even if the Nation (or the whole community) were to gather together to benefit you with something, they would not benefit you with anything except that which Allah has already recorded for you, and that if they gather together to harm you with something, they would not be able to harm you with anything except that which Allah has already recorded against you. The pens have been lifted and the pages have dried." at-Tirmithi |
