Foundation of Unity (Part I in Series) |
While the global population of Muslims is quickly increasing towards the two billion mark, the unfortunate realtiy is that ummah of Muhammad, sallallaahu 'alayhe wa sallama, is plagued with ikhtilaaf and disunity. This khutbah is Part I of a series in which we discuss a famous hadeeth that details the Foundation for Unity within the community of Muslims. Do you wish to get rid of the ikhtilaaf? Do you wish for Muslims to be united? Spend a few minutes, inshaa Allaah, listening to the hadeeth, which beautifully describes the cure (solution) to the disunity that we face.

Kibr (arrogance) is a very dangerous characteristic that, arguably, the overwhelming majority of mankind has, even if only in some small way. The final messenger to mankind, Muhammad, sallallaahu 'alayhe wa sallama, stated: لا يَدْخُلُ الجَنَّةَ مَنْ كَانَ فِي قَلْبِهِ مِثْقَالُ ذَرَّةٍ مِنْ كِبْرٍ "The one who has even an atom's weight (mithqaalu tharrah) of kibr (arrogance) in his heart will not enter Paradise."
