| End Ramadan Properly |
|
Part 1 of this khutbah reminds us of the TRUE purpose of Ramadaan: increasing in taqwa. So often, we get caught up in this dunya, in this life, competing in the increase of wealth, when Allaah will be looking at our hearts and our deeds. The first part of the khutbah discusses the tremendous importance of focusing on our hearts and our good character and the status that Islaam places on good character. Part 2 of the khutbah discusses the importance of ending Ramadan properly. Perhaps you have been downright lazy thus far in Ramadan, or perhaps you have done some but not what you know you are capable of. The message: you have NOT lost out on the opportunity for forgiveness and the reward of this month. The prophet, sallallaahu 'alayhe wa sallama, said:
So how do you want to end Ramadan? Do you want to end Ramadan crawling, or do you want to end Ramadan sprinting. After detailing the aforementioned message, the second part of the khutbah ends with the glad tidings of a most tremendous opportunity from Allaah: INVEST 20 hours of your time and you can have ALL your sins forgiven (details in video).

“For we assuredly sent amongst every people/nation a prophet, with the command, worship Allah and avoid false gods.” Quraan, 16:36 |
"Allah the Almighty has said: 'O son of Adam, so long as you call upon Me, and hope in Me, I shall forgive you for what you have done, and I shall not mind. O son of Adam, were your sins to reach the clouds in the sky and were you then to ask forgiveness of Me, I shall forgive you. O son of Adam, were you to come to Me with an earthful of sins and were you then to face Me, without having associated anything with Me, I shall grant you an earthful of pardon.'" At-Tirmithi |
